Two canny gigs (with stairs).

Saturday we played South Shields Unionist Club and Sunday we did our first show ever for Pelaw SC.  We would like to thank both clubs and their members for the comments after the shows.  All the comments were positive and this is appreciated by us both.

CUMBRIA SHOWS ITS CLASS!

Saturday we played a return gig at Egremont Catholic Club and, once again, this little belter showed its true colours.  These are among the most friendly people we have ever come accross and it was a privelage to work for them, if you can call it work.

Sunday we played our first ever gig at Harraby Catholic Club in Carlisle and, again we met some superb people.  Both venues are rebooking us and that suits us just fine.

1 DOWN 2 TO GO!

Well if last night is anything to go by we are in for a great weekend.  We played Queens SC in thornaby last night and the place was absolutely jumping in the 2nd half.  We unveiled our new sound system (ev 112p) and, after a few songs, had it just right and they will enhance our show even more from now on.

BUMPER WEEKEND AHEAD!

Friday night starts off a packed weekend for liberty star when we make a welcome return to Queens SC in thornaby, teesside, having only played there in October.  Its always nice to be rebooked again so soon.

Saturday we set off for a double header in Cumbria when we return to Egremont Catholic Club, near Whitehaven.  We played our first ever show there in November 2011 and met some of the finest people in the club circuit.  The people there really left an impression on us and we are really looking forward to this show.  They can expect a few different songs but still plenty of the ones they enjoyed so much last time round.

Sunday night we play our first ever gig at Harraby Catholic Club and, by all accounts, were informed this is is quite a big club and they are expecting a full house for the show.  no pressure there then eh?  Roll on.

ANOTHER BIG CROWD FOR GARDENERS!

Last night we played our 3rd gig inside 15 months at the Washington Gardeners club.  This club always stands out abover many others as it tends to have more people in by 6.30pm than some venues get by 8pm.  Thanks to everyone there for giving us a great welcome.

Superb Dentonholme

Last night we played our first ever show at Carlisle Dentonholme WMC and we are happy to say it was a great night all round.  This was yet another venue to enquire about our services for new years eve.  The people we met from start to finnish we among the best around.  we certainly look forward to a return gig there later in the year.

a big thank you from us both to everyone at the huge venue that is beechwood and easterside club.  surely one of the biggest in the region, this club has a real wow factor about it.  a special thanks for all the brill comments at the end of the show, especially those who were onto the committe shouting to get us back soon.  that always feels great for us both.

QUALITY COUNTS!

We have just played our first ever gig at Grange Villa Club over the weekend and, we have to say that, although the turnout was less than we had all hoped for this rare Saturday Night Grange Villa show, the people who were there could have kept us talking all night. These were those genuine people we just love working for. They became the 5th club already this year to enquire about new years eve, unfortunately for them we are already booked out but hopefully we can do a gig there over the festive period anyway.

jUST AS GOOD 2nd TIME AROUND!

We had a great time last night at Springbank SC when we played our 2nd gig there in 12 months. The people here are 2nd to none and really do clubland proud. A special mention for the act who shared our bill must also go to Neil Angus who performed two superb solo slots before us with some cracking songs. All in all it was nice to come away knowing everyone had enjoyed themselves.

RETURN GIG AT LOW FELL!

This week (Sunday) we play a return gig at Thomas Wilson Club in Low Fell. We enjoyed a superb show there last year with a massive turnout so, with it been a local gig, we are sure to have a few birtley folk there that we know. Lets hope there is another great turnout this time around. We do have a Solo act supporting the show but, at this moment in time, not sure of the name. We will add it once we know more.

Many thanks to eveyone who attended our show at Eston on Friday night. We are especially grateful for the superb comments recieved at the end of the show by some wonderful people we met. lets hope we are back at this huge venue later in the year.

CHILTON STILL TOPS!

Chilton Catholic Club proved again on Saturday night why we rate this club as one of the top venues on the northeast club circuit. Friendly people and welcoming committee make this a venue to help you through the show so much you wish it hadnt got to end. We did four encores i think yet it seemed like the show was just getting started still. Everything just seems to run like clockwork at this club, without any fuss. we wish to place on record our sincere thanks to everyone who we met there and best wishes for 2012.

Thank you Allerdene & Billingham

Cheers to everyone who attended our 150th show last night at Allerdene A1 club. This friendly little club deserves a bigger crowd than it gets but we were glad that a few of our friends from Birtley made an effort to support the show. Also, a special thank you to Billingham Contitutional Club for the super turnout on Friday night. This was our first gig there and it was a real pleasure.

Busy weekend ahead!

This week we play 3 gigs in a row starting with a trip to Billingham Constitutional Club for our first ever visit there, We follow the gig up with a return gig at Chilton Catholic Club and round the weekend off with a first ever show at A1 Club in Allerdene (even though this road is now the A167). We are expecting a big turn out on Sunday as this often happens when we play a local gig so this should help the little club out hopefully.

A Credit to the Game

The fabulous people of Billingham Golf gave us a lovely welcome last inght when we played a Valentines Gig there. Around 70 people made it a very challenging and intimate show but as the night went on, it was soon clear that these were among the nicest people around and the show just got easier song by song. A big thank you to you all down there and we look forward to a return visit sometime in the future. A special thanks to Peter for his organisational skills too.

Still upt here with the best!

Walker jubilee club proved last night that it is still up there with the best of them when we were given the sort of welcome we come to expect from this superb venue. The committee, in particular Kenneth who even helped us pack up at the end, made us welcome from the moment we arrived. everything just seems to run like clockwork here and that is often down to a dedicated committee so thanks to you all from kev and sam. We have posted a few pics on our website from lastnite that we mnaged to take ourselves as wll as a comment we recieved from Kenneth which s now on our testimonials page.

Walker Jubilee again tomorrow!

Saturday we play our 3rd show at Walker Jubillee Club in Newcastle. Thisis a stunning venue, almost like a mini City Hall with a huge stage area and great people. We always love playing this one.

Still a cracking venue!

It was great to start the year off with a good solid show at Ennis Square last night in Redcar. having played there twice already it was nice to see many of the old faces that have been there at the other gigs. GREAT WAY TO START THE YEAR!

New years eve saw us play our 2nd gig of the year at Darlington ASE Club and, when we said earlier in the year that this was a super venue, well we think it just got better. This place was jumpin, from start to finish. If this is how our new look sets are going to go down, then we are in for a great new year.

Last night we played our 2nd gig in 6 months at the Queens Head (formerly The Goldmine) in Willington. The people here excelled themselves again as they showed that traditional pub atmosphere that is missing in so many places. Friendly people and a well managed pub, what more can you ask for. The place was absolutely jumping. Thanks to you all for a great night.

GO TO JAIL! DO NOT PASS GO!

This Friday we play a gig at Durham Prison for the Officers Xmas Party and, while it will be a pleasure to play this venue, it will be equally as nice to be able to pull away at the end, if you get our meaning. We are also providing one of our Discos there too so there should be a real party atmosphere.

The following night we play our second gig of the yearat Willington Queens Head (formerly known as the Goldmine) and we already know this crowd are one of the best around so these gigs are a really nice way to approach xmas.

This week, although we are very busy on the Disco front, we have managed to shuffle things around to play a show at Club 35 in Carlisle. We have never been before but looking at their website, it is an amazing venue set in an old victorian hall.

Sunday night we played our 3rd gig in 2 years at Winlaton West End Club and, with a pro concert sec like Billy around, the job is always that much easier. A sper committee help make this a real friendly club to work in and we hope to be back in 2012.

NEW GIG ADDED FOR THIS WEEK!

This week we are making a short journey to Winlaton to play our 3rd gig at the West End Club in the village. We love this place so there was never any question of us answering the sos when it came in tonight. Other than that we are deliberately quiet on the singing front as we are trying to cope with the huge demaind for our disco and buffet side of things.
